Aydın is a city located at the heart of the lower valley of Büyük Menderes River in Turkey's Aegean Region. The city is at a commanding position for the region which has been famous for its fertility and productivity since ancient times and extends from the uplands of the valley down to the seacoast. With its population of 200,000 people, it is located at the crossroads of a busy transport network of several types, a six-lane highway connecting Aydın to İzmir, Turkey's second port. The project site of 40,000 m2 is located where this highway meets the city. With prominent visibility to and from the highway, the mixed use program includes 33,000 m2 outdoor shopping experience as well as a 4 star hotel and a residential tower. The open concept shopping features two plazas at opposite corners of the site and welcomes patrons arriving via various transportation options. There is also a central plaza where shopping meets with entertainment. Cafes, restaurants and outdoor lounge areas are located around a prominent water feature and greenery. 150 key hotel tower and the residential tower with one, two and three bedroom units occupy the two corners of the shopping center podium. Each tower features exclusive drop-off and lobby areas as well as terraces and green roofs at the upper levels.
